Sticky Chopper Cannabis Strain Review

Sticky Chopper sounds like something that will wipe you from existence in a fantastic way. In the medical marijuana industry, cannabis strains are crossbred with other strains all the time with hopes of creating a strain that contains the best of all worlds from the parent strains. With a name like Sticky Chopper, I expected to stumble across this while in Arizona. However, I found this delightful bud growing in the fertile lands of Arkansas.

As you all know, I love to swap out my consumption between weed or “flower” and a marijuana distillate to stave off the effects of tolerance build-up, so this time I tried Sticky Chopper as a distillate. As a medicinal tip, the only time I recommend using cannabis distillates is if you are reaching for more of a “head high”. A head high involves more psychedelic effects which usually accompanies high levels of THC. Body high involves more body relaxation effects, often found in full spectrum and CBD-heavy distillate strains.

Sticky Chopper, a sativa-leaning hybrid, is a cross between AK-47 (AK) and Glue Ball. The THC content of the distillate I had measured in at 77.5% with CBD at only .159%. The taste of this strain offers hints of roses buried beneath heaps of earth with slight spice. Although you may want to pass up on this strain for its tastes, give it some consideration for the strain’s medicinal benefits.

Benefits of Sticky Chopper involve:

  • high productivity and natural energy.

  • a more focused attention.

  • random bursts of energetic feelings.

  • increased creativity.

  • major stress reduction, and

  • a head high instead of a body high

This strain could be useful for those who battle everyday symptoms of PTSD such as low mood, apathy, depression, and loss of appetite.

I would not recommend Sticky Chopper for anyone looking to rid the body of musculoskeletal pain because the high THC content won't offer much relief. You may feel happy and loopy, but happy, loopy, and in pain when you can have a strain that offers euphoria and pain relief? Not worth it.

However should you decide to give Sticky Chopper a try, keep in mind that it can cause some unwanted side effects such as:

  • dry mouth.

  • increase in appetite.

  • increased potential for paranoia when consumed heavily, and

  • confusion.

Sticky Chopper is one strain I will consistently rely on when I need a consistent flow of energy to get me through the day without triggering my own anxiety. It’s not a cure-all strain, that’s for sure, but Sticky Chopper has definitely gotten me through some days where time seemed to crawl.

Until next time, Kool Kats!
