Do you know what the largest planet in our current galaxy is? That’s right, Jupiter. Honestly, for this strain here, it deserves the name of Jupiter OG. I want to, of course, make sure that I give you the ins and outs of this strain, but for those of you who are less interested in that, well… too damn bad! Just relax, I promise you it’s worth the few minutes. All right, you ready??
… take a hit of this ...
Taste and Look
I purchased this particular strain as a pre-roll from Reef Dispensaries f Queen Creek, Arizona. While I will go over a review of this dispensary at a later date, Reef Dispensary does rank high on my list of great dispensaries to visit. Of course when I saw this strain on their list of pre-rolls, I was skeptic over it. Jupiter was labeled on their hierarchy as a Tryke Black Label strain pre-roll.
I was not at all worried about the way the pre-roll would look as all of the Tryke pre-rolls always come nicely packed and tightly sealed. The taste, however I knew would be different. Jupiter OG was pungent, but very tolerable. This is shocking to me considering the fact that I usually do not go for pungent strains simply because it overwhelms the taste, and, in a weird way, pungent strains ruin my overall experience most of the time.
Jupiter OG definitely leaves a very lasting impact, combating the pungent tones with some earthy blends. The look and overpowering taste of Jupiter OG tends to lure it’s users in by appearing as something soothing, but is actually here to deliver a heavy blow to your system. In my opinion, pungent flowers tend to blossom the best buds, though I do not care for them much because of its scent. Again, that is just me, and you absolutely are not obligated to think like me.
Medicinal Benefits
Jupiter OG has this cool ass harmonic tone that literally places my mind so far into a state of content that I forget where I physically am. Am I saying that Jupiter OG made me feel like I was cloud surfing in Jupiter one of the planet’s many storms, oh absolutely!
With that being said, I’d wait until I’m more experienced with heavier strains before giving Jupiter OG a try if I were you. This strain did not come to the party to just lean against a wall! As I mentioned before, Jupiter OG made me feel like I was literally on Jupiter. In reality, this can cause physical sickness and/or paranoia. While I personally did not experience this since I am familiar with using a THC powerhouse, like Gelato, I did experience some slight vertigo for a while, particularly nearing the end of my high. During my landing, if you will, the ground just didn’t feel too steady, but I did experience high levels of euphoria and little to no pain in my muscles and joints.
I also experienced extreme happiness. Literally everything made me laugh. Therefore, I highly recommend Jupiter OG for those who are done messing with the small strains and really need more hang time with a real heavy-hitter. Particularly, individuals looking for more chronic pain relief, menstrual cramps, muscle spasms, joint pain, stress, insomnia, as well as those suffering from clinical depression.
Finally! Relief is here.
While this is a pungent strain, I cannot deny the feelings that Jupiter OG gave to me. I felt as though I could take on anything and truly, for once, felt absolutely normal again - meaning pain free. For those reasons, I grant Jupiter OG three out of three leaves.
I thoroughly enjoyed Jupiter OG, and while this did give me nothing but joy, I have a little advice for you … from Miss Kitty, herself, to you. Never trust a strain named after a giant ass planetary star. For example, if someone came out with a stain called Multiverse, just fucking run. That shit is about to literally have you experiencing astral projection. Mark my words.
I hope you all enjoyed yourselves on this trippy yet smooth ride through Jupiter OG. Do you think you could handle it? Have you tried it before but experienced something different? Join the Kool Kats today by signing up so you can get the conversation going!
