V Kush is definitely a strain that left me wondering what I had gotten myself into. I didn't know how to think or even where to start on this. With a name like V Kush, I was under the impression that this strain was not going to show me anything I hadn't already seen thus far, but I was very wrong. The high that resulted from this took me up then eased me down into the softest place on Earth. Ranked with about 19% THC content, V Kush is great for my newbies, and was absolutely worth sitting down and writing this review.
I decided to give this strain a try for the first time as a pre-roll although it was offered in the concentrated form as well. I'm glad I did! This strain is being provided to me by Tryke Companies, so I knew that the quality would be great. I wish. Okay, enough of the vague talk. Let's take a dive head first into this one, hopefully keeping the details straight as I break down cannabis strain V Kush.
Taste and Look
Harvested as an indica dominant strain, V Kush is stated by Reef Dispensaries as a cross between Strawberry Cookies and OG Kush Breath. I looked forward to smoking this pre-roll a lot. It was strain I had never heard of, and, well, Miss Kitty was curious. V Kush is a great strain for those looking to give indicas a more focused shot. Why not go for something a tad bit out of the box and reach a bit deeper on my exploration of indica strains for myself?
I will say that whenever I have friends mention having weed, but not knowing what strain it is, I always imagine that this is the strain they are referring to. V Kush wasn't hard on my lungs whatsoever.
I do have to warn that this strain is verrry pungent. Straight skunk and diesel. I mean from the container to my lips you could see the damn scent - okay maybe that's an exaggeration, but V Kush did hold a strong odor I had never been exposed to. In other words, the shit was loud.
Usually whenever I smoke a pungent strain they are fairly harsh on my throat and lungs. I cough almost uncontrollably for a good 30 seconds even after preparing for it before any sort of high settles. By then all I have is a headache and pissed off lungs with no relief - this is why smoking flower is horrible for asthmatics FYI. With all of that known, I still do go for them anyway (judge me later). Strong weed tends to carry a reputation of inducing an overwhelmingly powerful relaxation without much use, and for someone with my background of pain, I must say that for once I wasn't afraid of trying V Kush. I was able to smoke some of the bud without evicting my lungs and the results I got left me speechless without a headache in sight.
Medicinal Benefits
I would like to reiterate that the opinions stated within my writings are strictly my opinion and not of others. With that said, V Kush left me speechless because I could finally breathe. It's no secret that I deal with PTSD, and, unfortunately, too many people can relate to me when I say that I finally could not hear my thoughts. Now these aren't audible thoughts so don't be confused, but my mind is always racing with silent thoughts concerning my past, present, and future. To find a strain that shushes the constant worrying and places me in a state of mental clarity is a strain I will always highly recommend. Because of the easy, smooth-flowing high that V Kush provides, I will absolutely be purchasing this again for myself.
V Kush is an excellent strain for stress, depression, and insomnia. I do not recommend it to someone without any sort of backup plan for treating anxiety as the type of high this strain provided may trigger paranoia in some users.
V Kush, on a more positive note, caused arousal which I do not object to by any means! For any woman dealing with vaginal dryness, especially you ladies that are menopausal, V Kush will help start stimulation and dramatically reduce any discomfort you might deal with. This indica is true to it's name in that regard. Now I do I actually have a special product I recommend for you ladies, but just you wait for it (*wink*).
That being said, I rate this strain three leaves out of three leaves.
I'm giving V Kush the rating of three out of three leaves because it did ease up my symptoms, and while it was overwhelmingly strong in the scent department, I still greatly enjoyed the the results.
V Kush gave me an experience that I hadn't ever had when it comes down to the overall vibes and sensations I felt. From the moment I first inhaled, I felt everything within my mind go silent and suddenly I focused on the here and now. That is not something I expected, but V Kush gave me peace of mind, and, finally, I could smile and it not be a show that I'm putting on out of desperation to feel better. I tend to gravitate away from extremely pungent strains, but I feel like this one will hold a branch in the tree for a little bit.
Have you ever had V Kush? If at a dispensary near you, would you give it a try? Leave me a comment down below, and don’t forget to share with your family and friends who could benefit from this strain.
Catch you in the trees!
