Indulging in Gelato (Marijuana Strain Review)

Updated: Aug 5, 2019

Creamy cannabis-infused ice cream

When it comes to Gelato, and not the cold, creamy kind, I have to show this strain nothing but love! I have tried Gelato in both flower and concentrated forms, and while I wish I could trash the shit out of this strain, I just absolutely cannot. With the way that my body is constantly in a state of stress, having Gelato around is a must for me.

Ok, so what? What in the hell makes this strain just that strain. Well, take a closer look, my friend.

I like this strain because it reminds me of my man... smooth, but keeps me high and stay knocking me off of my feet.

Taste and Look

The first time that I ever tried Gelato was in a distillate form. I obtained a vape cartridge from one of the dispensaries here in Arizona and used it after encountering several other strains that would set the tone but not finish the job. Pretty much the other strains would hit me hard and heavy and give the impression that it might last long with the same intensity, however it fails - on an epic scale. I randomly decided to give Gelato a try after hearing that it was a hard hitting indica-dominate hybrid.

The first impression that I got from Gelato in terms of taste was smooth. It was not harsh on my throat, and it definitely provided a silky, ice cream-like taste. I mean, maybe that is being dramatic, but some of these strains leave you feeling like this! The subtle hint of citrus undertones on exhale made this strain one that was not pungent, but rather very flavorful and left the area with a zesty scent.

Gelato Pre-Roll

The look of this strain (as ingested as a distillate) bore a color that was a light greenish/gold. As you can see to the right of this text, the flower version of Gelato I purchased came nicely packed in a pre-roll. The lemony scent couldn't be disguised, though even though the packaging was neatly designed and sealed the pre-roll nicely.

The bright orange hairs and dots of purple hues decorating this bud makes not only beautiful to see, but holds a heavy euphoric punch that makes even the most seasoned cannabis users wonder just what happened.

Medicinal Benefits

Speaking of euphoria, Gelato is definitely that strain for resolving any sort of aches and pains no matter how major or minor. As I mentioned before, my body is in a constant state of stress. With Gelato, my nervous system becomes very relaxed and musculoskeletal pains sort of melt away on exhales of sweet, earthy smoke. What I particularly loved about the feels behind this strain is I just had beautiful emotions throughout the duration of my high. I was able to express myself well and even hold controversial conversations without going up in arms with instant anger.

I used Gelato whenever I wanted to slow down my racing brain and find quicker route to solitude during meditation. The amount of peace and total body stress release is immeasurable using this powerhouse. The way that Gelato instantly dissolved my muscles spasms upon initial use just had me sold! I highly recommend this strain for anyone dealing with anxiety/panic attacks, as a nice strain for a cool down in the end of the night, or for anyone dealing with chronic muscle spasms or searching for relief from a racing brain.

Again, this strain is a personal favorite. Gelato actually relaxes my nervous system and instantly melts away the effects as a result of my constant fight or flight response being on. Because of this, I have to give my favorite, Gelato, three out of three leaves.

3 out of 3 Leaves!

No matter how I consume my marijuana, I always have some Gelato on deck! The way this strain vibes with my soul and handles all of my issues makes this a strain worth cataloging in the books.

So, after reading about Gelato, would you give it a shot? Have you ever tried it, and if so, would you recommend it? Leave a comment down below explaining what you think about Gelato.
