In the sun-drenched valley of Phoenix, Arizona, medical marijuana residents are finding much comfort since the plant’s legalization in 2010 within the state’s boundaries. Cannabis has now become the “go-to” medication for anyone who is a cardholder. Even though concentrates were illegal in Arizona until 2019, dispensaries throughout the valley still offered a wide range of products to suit the many needs of the patients. Because let’s be real here. Not everyone is walking around smoking a joint because not everyone can actually smoke weed as is.
Thanks to the activists in the marijuana industry that stay looking for new ways to provide comfort for us patients, the types of products presented on the market today in Arizona is forever evolving.
This brings me to the not-so-new, but new to me, RSO, or Rick Simpson Oil, concentrate. While you can find out more about just who Rick Simpson is here, I just want to discuss with you my personal experience with the concentrate itself.
Okay, on to my discovery...
I first found out about the oil one day when I needed to go to a dispensary for a re-up. Now, I had called in a pickup order so I wouldn’t have to worry about wasting too much time at the location. I had other errands to run.
So, up to the dispensary I went. When I walked in, I was greeted by the security guard who lead me pass a mall vendor set up and over to the enclosed counter so that I could get what I needed and be on my way.
I picked up my order, left my tip as always, and before leaving, I decided to stop by the vendor table being occupied by a High Grade representative. I saw it while I was being escorted by the security guard, but I had no intention of stopping by on the way in or out. However, when I left from the pickup area, I finally had a full view of the booth. There was a young lady standing behind the table just beaming with happiness. She was just chatting with the security guard (real friendly, passing the time kind of manner) when she looked up and noticed me headed for the door that she was situated next to.
The security guard smiled and wished me a good night as he headed over to greet new patrons that were walking in. I bid him the same and then it happened. My intuition told me to just go over to the vendor table. “Say hi” to the young lady because “I needed to”. Ugh, I didn’t know why. That kinda shit doesn’t happen often… or maybe it does but I ignored it in the past.
Anyway...
The young lady greeted me with the biggest, brightest smile on her face. Her eyes were adorned with some flawless lashes and she was sporting a black tee that was branded with the High Grade logo and a few catchy words that described the products they offered. She genuinely spoke to me and offered me a few of her free items. I took the items, and graciously thanked her, but I couldn’t just take it and leave… right?
Okay, I felt super awkward being given something when I didn’t even need it. Not to mention I was thinking about just dipping right pass her and her damn table.
But… I have a duty to uphold.
I’ve been trying to make sure that I follow my intuition to further develop it. In that moment, I decided to ask her a few questions about the products that High Grade manufactured, and boy am I glad that I did. She lead me happily around the table, briefly discussing the products that were displayed. By this time of the demonstration, we were talking as if we were the best of friends and had known each other since childhood.
“Oh! What’s that kind of concentrate?” I said, pointing over to the RSO. Her face. Lit. Up.
I mean she happily began explaining to me how she personally uses the High Grade CBD RSO because she had a hard time just vaping CBD by itself due to its potency. This caught my attention. As someone who deals with mild asthma, it’s important that I make sure that I provide plenty of air to my lungs and take alternative methods to consuming marijuana whenever I can.
The young lady continued to tell me how CBD RSO worked for her, and she even showed me proof that it worked for her (which wasn’t part of her normal demonstration). Although not so skeptical anymore because she didn’t seem like someone who was trying to push a sale, I still wondered if that would be something that could come in handy for me. She went into detail about the Full Spectrum RSO - which was primarily THC- and the CBD RSO - very little THC present.
By the end of our conversation, I was sold, but since I had already made a purchase and had to really get going, I decided that I would go back and purchase it another day.
Well, ladies and gentlemen, that day has come. I decided to get the CBD RSO by High Grade, in particular, to see if it could really help cure chronic pain like the very sweet representative had mentioned. goodness…
My goodness…
It worked you guys!
It fucking worked!! I had severe neck pain and cramps in my hands from writing in my many journals. Plus the day after purchase, my monthly visitor came along with her damn earthquake cramping...
Do you know all of that pain was gone?!
Now, I will warn you. The rep told me that any amount over about the size of a grain of rice will knock me on my ass. I didn’t go over, and actually stopped under her recommended dosage amount, but I still felt extremely relaxed. I didn’t have any further pain and I was still very coherent. However, it is cannabis and a really high concentrated CBD oil at that, so I can’t complain too much.
This was my first time, also, trying a High Grade product, and I must say… I was thoroughly pleased. I feel that it will take an awful lot of work for another brand to surpass High Grade in the RSO category for me. I didn’t have a major negative whatsoever with the taste. As I said before, it is a highly concentrated CBD. I didn’t expect for the RSO to taste like a hand full of Jolly Ranchers and Starburst candies.
I don't know...
Just my thought.
Anyway, to give you my final thoughts on this, if you’re a medical marijuana patient here in Arizona, you have to give the High Grade CBD RSO a try. In terms of relieving inflammation, that often is the root for many people’s chronic pain, High Grade’s CBD RSO is the medicinal herb to have.
Whew, that damn RSO is something else! Have you ever tried a CBD RSO? If you have, share your thoughts in the comments below the post and get a conversation started! Don’t be a scaredy Kat!
Catch you in the trees!
