What’s good Kool Kats! This time around, I will be talking to you about the marijuana strain Wedding Cake. Also known to some patients as Pink Cookies, Wedding Cake boasts cutesy little orange hairs and coated in trichomes that deeply resemble the super glittery shimmer normally seen on an all-white wedding dress! The strain can contain a THC content of 25% or greater according to Leafly, though I have never tried anything higher than 25% for this particular bud.
Most dispensaries in the east valley of Phoenix, Arizona carry Wedding Cake on their shelves in either broken down flower or as a concentrate, such as shatter or sugar wax, offered by in-house brands or growing brands like MPX (Melting Point Extracts). Unfortunately for my family back home in Arkansas, there are not too many dispensaries up and running just yet, so keep checking back! For those of you patients residing in or near Phoenix, you are likely to find the strain at your favorite spot.
Overall Quality

For this particular review, I decided to go with subtle hybrid in a distillate cartridge form or vape, as most people know this type as. Several times in my past I have worked as a cake decorator. Of course, the benefits of this kind of job is getting the opportunity to taste your product! While I didn’t try my products every single time it was offered, the times I did go for a slice, I always opted for vanilla flavored cake adorned with a “right-size-for-the-piece” amount of buttercream icing. After being in that business for quite some time, I noticed that whenever it came to decorating wedding cakes, oftentimes many of the brides chose a vanilla cake and buttercream icing, topped off with their favorite color(s) and/or decorative items.

That being established, I can now explain to you why the Wedding Cake strain tasted exactly like eating wedding cake. When I say wedding cake, that is what I mean. The sweet strain did not taste like no regular birthday cake dessert, but more of like biting into a big ol’ slice of buttercream-layered, vanilla-blazin’ and sweet tooth-fulfilling wedding cake.
It is without a doubt one of my favorites just because of the flavor profile of it alone. So if you happen to be looking for a strain that will absolutely knock you out with a beautiful tasting terpene profile, stay tuned for this strain near you!
Medicinal Benefit
Of course after the initial taste of Wedding Cake, I was so taken back by the terpene profile that I almost completely neglected to pay attention to the way that the strain relieved my issues medicinally. Luckily I was able to remember that I was doing a strain review by glancing down at the notebook on my lap that contained a sheet reading “Wedding Cake Strain Review” on it. Otherwise this little review would have seriously never made it to you!

All jokes aside, I was able to use Wedding Cake during the day. This powerful hybrid relaxed my limbs completely and made it a great choice for dealing with chronic pain in my joints and shoulder muscles. I did experience very euphoric feelings at times which did distract me a little bit away from any activities that required my undivided attention, but it wasn’t to a point where I couldn’t focus at all.
I could honestly say that while the strain gave me some energy, it did not force me into an overly hyperactive mode. Instead, I was able to still be productive and enjoy a smooth increase of my energy without a huge crash at the end.

The high itself wasn’t heavy on the body too much so I would say that this strain worked as more of a cerebral buzz over anything else. I particularly love strains that provide semi-strong cerebral buzz as these tend to be the strains perfect for reducing stress, anxiety, and even depression.
Overall, I would have to assign this strain three out of three leaves!

I decided on this rating because not only were the terpenes poppin’ off the charts with flavor, but the way it knocked out the anxiety I had and relieved my chronic pain had me battling on whether or not to keep Gelato in that number one spot!
Absolutely, I enjoyed Wedding Cake a lot! I am still just shocked at how well most of this hybrid worked for me despite being someone who preferred having Gelato almost always for any moments of high anxiety and stress. What are your thoughts on this strain? Would you give it a shot? If you have already, how did you feel afterwards? Leave a comment down below to get the conversation started!
As always, I will catch you in the trees!
