Time after time I often find myself wondering if I should use my medicinal cannabis for just chill time. As a carrier of PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder), I make it my absolute duty to ensure my mental state is stable. It can be rather difficult at times to balance my intuitive side (in terms of my clairvoyant abilities) and regular life all while learning to cope with PTSD.
At first I thought, no. I will only reserve my weed for emergencies. Soon after I decided on that, every single day became an emergency. It wasn't because I wanted weed, but I learned that I no longer work well under stressful situations unless I am medicated. This is something I have had to accept about myself in order to heal, or cope, with PTSD.
Plenty of people have asked me do I ever just smoke or vape sometimes just for the hell of it. To be honest, in the very beginning of being a patient, I did not. I wanted to make sure that I understood the consequences of using high doses daily as well as that of using low doses frequently. Once I understood that and found out what I need to maintain my stress levels at normalcy, I began using my cannabis as part of my self-care.
Self-care is just what it sounds like, taking care of self. In any way that brings you joy and peace without having to sacrifice any of yourself in the process. Bend over backwards for you, for once. As a woman growing up and only seeing women care for men and do for me as well as men doing consistently for women, it was hard for me to even accept the concept of self-care. There was no way I could keep this up though. I started using my cannabis just to relax some in the end of the night.
And boy am I glad that I did.
I have several ways that you can incorporate cannabis into your chill time without having to feel guilty about smoking some when you "don't need it". I only recommend those who have restraint when it comes to using marijuana, otherwise you will end up running through your money really fast.
Without further ado, here are some tips to help you enjoy your cannabis, when you don't totally need it, just to provide an extra boost in your quality of life.
Use cannabis just before or after bathing. Marijuana helps to relax the muscles in the body, especially when using a CBD heavy strain. My personal favorite is AC/DC. This strain is a has a 1:1 ratio for the CBD to THC balance. Using this type of strain before or after bathing will help to further ease any discomfort you may have and provide an added bonus to the relax factor of a nice soak. I recently did a bath bomb infused with CBD review. It was hands down A-1! You have to check it out!
Vape and watch a movie. Nothing really gets me chilled out like taking time to just vape and watch a movie, especially older ones that I saw growing up. It allows me to step outside of a kid perspective and see to the absolute core of movie plots. Sometimes I am able to understand meanings that are way deeper than how my original viewing described it.
Use your cannabis during meditation. I tend to use my cannabis concentrates any time I meditate because of the elevating effects it has on my spirit. I am able to totally understand, and quickly, any messages I'm receiving from Spirit in a ton of different perspectives. I honestly cannot explain to you in words that would give enough weight to how the actual experience is when I am downloading and processing the information being given to me.
Burn cannabis mixed with sage. Some people like to mix stems of cannabis buds with sage and burn for aura cleansing and room clearing. I have personally never tried this one, but I will be very soon! This can be done of course in conjunction with meditation, or if you just want to clear the air after any company leaving your home or following any sort of disagreements.
Vape while you bathe. Now for this, I highly recommend two things: 1) You are aware enough to know where your consumption threshold is, and 2) you vape instead of smoking flower. I recommend the first because if you are vaping and take too large of a hit, you may find yourself unable to escape danger. I do not need anyone overdoing it out there! So PLEASE VAPE RESPONSIBLY!! With smoking flower in the tub, I personally don't recommend because of the ashes. I also love that I can take just a single hit of a marijuana vape cartridge and put it down for the remainder of the bath. The cartridges tend to be more concentrated and cleaner on the inhale, allowing for more of the product to enter into your system.
